Study Abroad Experience
London, Spring 2014
Cass Business School, City University of London
A Reflection...
If I could turn back the clock and do it all again, I would in a heartbeat. I still have to pinch myself sometimes in realizing that I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to live in London, one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in the world, as a college student. I didn’t think it was possible to feel so alive and learn so much about myself in such a short period of time, but I plan to carry this experience with me for the rest of my life as I continue on to new chapters and new adventures.
Studying abroad allowed me to adapt a global mindset, both inside and outside the classroom. By being exposed to several cultures and languages throughout the semester, I learned how to communicate and collaborate with diverse groups of people, overcome challenges with unfamiliarity, and push myself out of my comfort zone to have a truly rewarding and life-changing experience. I plan to utilize these important skills in my career as well, with the confidence that my semester in London taught me what much of what I need to know to be able to succeed in the global business environment.
Other cities I visited during my semester abroad:
-
Edinburgh, Scotland
-
Copenhagen, Denmark
-
Paris, France
-
Amsterdam, Netherlands
-

-

-
